Why I started Bloom
In the summer of 2020 I went to a theater workshop. I spent the week meeting new friends, exploring xxxxxx and xxxxx. After our performance on the drive home, I said to my mom, "I found my people." My love for theater began. Theatre was the place where I figured out who I was, where I learned I had a voice and that people would actually listen to it. That experience changed me, and I never forgot it.
When I looked around at the programs available for kids in this community, I kept seeing the same thing - theatre that was about putting on a show, not about the child in front of you. I wanted something different. A place where the kid is the point, not the production.
That's why I started Bloom. Not to build a theatre company, but to build a space where young people could come exactly as they are and leave knowing a little more about who they want to be.

A Note to Bloom Families
I am Nayima's mom and I have had a front row seat to what theatre does for a young person.
Four years ago I watched my daughter walk into a rehearsal space as a quiet, uncertain kid. What I have seen since then - the confidence, the joy, the way she owns a room now - is something I never could have predicted. When she came home from her first theater camp, she said to me, "Mom, I found my people!" Theatre didn't just give her a hobby. She found belonging.
As an HR Executive, I have spent my career understanding what it takes for people to show up fully, with confidence, with communication skills, with the ability to connect. Theatre builds all of that in young people, and it builds it in a way nothing else quite does.
I believe in what Nayima is building. I am here to make sure Bloom has the structure, the support, and the staying power to do for other kids what React Theatre did and continues to do for her. Every family who trusts Bloom with their child has my personal commitment that this program is backed with intention, care, and real adult investment.
